Enhancing our Communities
Connecting Volunteers and Organizations
Nominate an older adult (55+) that you think deserves some recognition this year! We have printed registration sheets at our office as well as a link to the form below!
Our tree will be up with tags to choose from on November 17th, and community members can choose the tags they would like. Gifts are to be dropped off before December 13th, this allows us time to wrap and get everything organized for delivery!
Whether you buy a gift, donate, or volunteer your time, it makes a big different to our older adults. This is one of our biggest and favourite programs we run!

YEARS OF SERVICE
VOLUNTEERS PER YEAR
NON-PROFIT COMMUNITY PROGRAMS
Volunteer Terrace has matched enthusiastic volunteers with deserving organizations for almost 30 years. We coordinate and refer approximately 175 volunteers to 38 non-profit community programs and events throughout the year, providing opportunities for volunteers of all ages!
This is a free program within Volunteer Terrace that focuses on ages 4-24, promoting healing and resiliency in the Northwest. Youth can get volunteer hours within this program, with learning and making friends along the way. Check out everything that we have going on!
The Therapeutic Activation Program for Seniors (TAPS) by United Way BC fosters welcoming and inclusive environments where older adults, particularly those experiencing physical, cognitive, or emotional challenges, can connect, flourish, and feel a sense of belonging.
Through organized group activities that engage the body, mind, and spirit, TAPS assists older adults in maintaining their independence and enhancing their overall well-being.
“It’s pretty essential for some people. I think that everyone in the community should be involved in helping each other with whatever they can do. Lots of hands make little work.”
